Description
This shield is ideally suited to providing a bright and bold RGB LED display while passing through all the connections on an Arduino UNO and those with a similar footprint. All that is required is a single PWM line to control it. This is thanks to the wonderful WS2812 based RGB LED which allows cascaded single line control. The shield is solidly constructed to allow repeated use once attached to a circuit board. All the provided breakouts are well labelled to really help with those prototyping debugs that occur so often.
Each LED is individually addressable to provide red, blue, green and any combination of them. The shield is compatible with the Neopixel library that is freely available through the Arduino IDE.
Please note we found that the shield requires slightly more current than a USB port can supply in some cases. As such an external power supply is recommended.

Returns
