*These are classic old original slides from major collections.
Most are Kodak Processed Kodachromes. Some are as old as the early 1940's, the very first years Kodachrome was available. Kodachrome is known for its amazing color stability, and you will see some 70-year-old Kodachromes listed here that look as if they were shot yesterday, but be aware that after 50+ years, even the best quality photo dyes may begin to shift.
*Expect to see some dust specks on the scan, and often there are minor imperfections and/or scratches from normal handling and projection over the years.

*Many of these vintage slides were published in the years before the digital revolution. They were removed from their mounts, duplicated by analog methods, and remounted, either in their original frames, or in generic replacement mounts if the frame was seriously damaged in the process.
I will note slides that are not in their original mounts.
Depending on the publisher, some are very neatly remounted; some are not. As the original mount and the photographer’s notes are critical to establishing the authenticity of the slide, previously published slide

are offered in
“as is”
condition.

be pristine. Some weakening of the cardboard may be present.

. Imagine trying to get a sharp image of a black Nickel Plate Berkshire doing 60+mph on a cloudy day! The digital razor sharpness we expect in our images today was only a distant dream in the 1940's and 1950's.

accept returns, UNLESS I have overlooked a significant issue. I will gladly accept a return for full refund of purchase price and shipping on any slide with a genuine problem that I have overlooked.

USPS has been very slow of late, and I have had multiple shipments go missing this year. Some have arrived; (one after six weeks in transit!!); a couple appear to be lost forever. Please give your shipments at 10 days after mailing date before contacting me. If they have not arrived by then, let me know. I will refund for a lost 1st Class (tracked) package or Priority (tracked) purchase after 30 days. Remember, free shipping for smaller orders is by USPS First Class letter envelope, which DOES NOT have tracking. Larger orders are shipped via First Class package (over 5.00) or Priority Envelope (over 0.00) free of charge. If you wish to have an order below 5.00 shipped with tracking, contact me at end of auction and I will send you an invoice to cover the additional costs.
