Description
Prototype board with two 12-pin terminal block connectors and LEDs, fully assembled, with modified RM2015S enclosure. This is basically a bundle package making it easy to create an enclosed system built around the Netcruzer
SBC66
line of Single-Board Computers.
An SBC66EC board is not included, but this package includes everything else you'll need:
PT66EI-24P
Prototype Board
ENC2015S-NZ
Enclosure with screws (a modified version of an RM2015S, with extra standoffs)
PCBSP-143
spacer and
SCREW-222SC440
long screw for securing SBC66 through PT66 into extra standoff
FPAN-PT24E
faceplate for I/O side
Optionally, one additional faceplate for Ethernet/USB/iMOD side (see options below)
There is plenty of prototype space. Your SBC66 board attaches via the daughterboard connectors. All pins of the two daughterboard connectors are available on the prototyping board, and clearly marked on the PCB. Two 12-pin terminal block connectors are included for your application. The board has eight red LEDs connected to a shift register and controlled by just three port pins (Y3, Y4, Y5). The enclosure I/O side faceplate includes labels for you to write next to each I/O port and LED.
iMod Ports
The prototype board has two ports for the adding of plug-and-play
iMod Modules
. Modules of the following pin widths can be connected to the ports:
iMod Port 1
supports a 0.7" or 0.9" module.
iMod Port 2
supports a 0.6" or 0.7" module.
Ports 1 and 2 together
support a 1.6" or 1.8" module.
Note that 1.1" modules are not supported by this board.
The prototype board may be purchased
without the enclosure
.
The enclosure is a modified Hammond RM2015S. The enclosure measures 100mm (3.94") long by 130mm (5.21") wide by 30mm (1.18") high, and is constructed of durable ABS plastic. Screws are included for fastening the mated boards to the inside of the enclosure. This modified version has two additional standoffs. One standoff allows you to use the included extra long screw and spacer to secure the SBC66EC board to the PT66EI-24P prototype board and through to the enclosure. The other standoff provides an alternative corner mounting position for the PT66EI-24P in case you have an iMOD module plugged into the second iMOD port, which would prevent access to the standard corner mounting hole. The enclosure comes with one solid front panel piece, though it would not be used in this application.
Faceplates
The 24-pin I/O faceplate shown in the top image is included. However, depending on whether and which iMOD modules you have plugged into the board, the type of faceplate you will need for the other side will vary. Thus you must select a faceplate (or none) specifically for the other side. Use the checkbox at the bottom of this page to select the faceplate you need. Below is a guide:
FPAN-2015S-NETUSB
Choose this faceplate when you are not using any iMOD modules.
Faceplates for use with various combinations of iMOD modules are planned but not yet available. You can, for now, leave this end of the enclosure open.
