    Description

Here is a vintage early production Schrade Walden USA fixed blade #138L Bowie Hunter 1957 to 1973. The design of this knife was adapted from the Pilots Survival Knife MIL-K-8662 that Schrade Walden won the Navy contract for in 1956. This knife is used and the 5 1/8 inch long carbon steel blade has been correctly sharpened and is sharp. The total knife is 9 3/4 inches long. The blade is .14 inches thick at the guard and the thicker blades tended to be on early production knives. The sides of the blade are bright and reflective with only a some spots surface scale/stain from manufacture. The the steel guard is bright and tight to the handle. The stacked leather handle is bright and reflective. The steel plate end pommel is mostly bright and shiny with old shallow marks on butt plate pommel. The leather sheath is new and not original however it fits the knife. Condition is "Used". Thank you for looking and please see the pictures. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. I usually ship the next USPS business day after payment.
