    Description

    WiFi 802.11b/g mikroBUS Module, CC3000, 3.3V (CC3000 click)
    MIKROE-1527
Integrated IPv4 TCP/IP stack with built-in network protocols
Antenna range of about 70 meters in open space
Minimal WiFi or RF expertise required
Minimal software requirements for target MCU
    Designed for 3.3V systems
CC3000 click is an add-on board in mikroBUS form factor which carries a TI CC3000MOD WiFi module and a ceramic antenna. This board allows you to add WiFi functionality to your project without much WiFi or RF expertise. The CC3000 WiFi 802.11b/g module has an integrated TCP/IPv4 stack with built-in network protocols (ARP, ICMP, DHCP client and DNS client). This simplifies connection to local networks or the internet, while minimizing software requirements for your target board's MCU.
The CC3000 click board enables OFDM rates from 1 to 54 Mbps in the 2.4GHz ISM band. The integrated 5K EEPROM also spares your MCU's internal resources. The ceramic antenna has a maximum range of about
    70 meters
    in open space.
The board communicates with your target microcontroller via mikroBUS UART (MISO, MOSI, SCK, CS), AN and INT lines. It designed to use
    3.3V power supply only
    .
An SMD jumper allows you to switch from the default
    Function Mode
    to a
    Test Mode
. Two additional pads are provided on the board to use in Test Mode for connecting to the CC3000 radio test tool. It uses an RS232 serial interface (RX, TX) with 1.8V signal logic.
    mikroBUS Click Boards Overview
Click boards come with header pins that you must solder yourself. After that, they just plug directly into a mikroBUS socket. mikroBUS is a specially designed plug-and-play pinout standard. Newer (v7) development systems manufactured by mikroElektronika, which we carry, have mikroBUS sockets already built in.
You also can connect Click boards to many other popular platforms via these adapters:
